“No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act” PASSES
Washington, D.C. (June 23, 2025) – Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett’s bill “No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act” passed on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.
Since the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) have been directly and indirectly funding the Taliban’s regime through financial and material support. H.R. 260 enables the State Department to identify and publish the administrations and organizations who are supporting the Taliban and other terrorist organizations across the world.
“The United States has sent over $5 billion in cash to Kabul. It is the duty of the State Department to ensure that any aid from the United States is kept out of the hands of terrorists in Afghanistan. The terrorists can hate us for free” said Rep. Burchett.
The bill requires the State Department to create and carry out a strategy aimed at deterring foreign nations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from offering financial or material aid to the Taliban or other terrorist groups.
“After nearly two years of work on this bill, I am thrilled to finally watch it pass in the House. Now, I call on the Senate to send it to the White House for President Trump’s signature.”
