Burchett: Summit supercomputer making a difference in fight against COVID-19

WASHINGTON, DC (July 28, 2020) – Today, the Departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Veterans Affairs announced the Insights Partnership to research and analyze COVID-19 health data. The Insights Partnership will use Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Summit, the United States’ fastest supercomputer and one of the fastest in the World, in its efforts to assess COVID-19 information, treatments and health outcomes.

"The Summit supercomputer is making a difference in our nation’s fight against COVID-19,” said Rep. Burchett following the announcement of the Insights Partnership. “Many of the world’s best scientists are at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and I think it is wise to utilize them and Summit to lead our nation through this health crisis."
