Press Release

WASHINGTON (March 27, 2020) – Congressman Tim Burchett voted in favor of H.R. 748, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives today. Following passage of the bill, Rep. Burchett released the following statement:

“With today’s passage of the CARES Act, help is on the way to millions of Americans and small businesses throughout our nation. This bill has plenty of flaws – there are many things about it I don’t like. However, the crisis facing our nation is too urgent. We have to do what we can to protect the health of every American and preserve the businesses big and small that provide jobs and drive our economy. Today, I joined my colleagues by putting principle over politics in supporting this bill.”
