Rep. Thomas Massie discusses liberty, patents, and the PRIME Act with Rep. Burchett on latest episode of Tennessee Talks
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., (Dec. 28, 2022) – On the latest episode of Tennessee Talks, Rep. Thomas Massie (KY-04) joined Rep. Tim Burchett (TN-02) to discuss the importance of preserving liberty in the United States, breaking down Elon Musk's view on patents, and the PRIME Act.
"Massie's a brilliant guy and a good friend of mine," said Rep. Burchett. "I had a great time talking with him about how we need to continue defending our liberty from government tyranny, especially right now under the Biden Administration."
Rep. Massie has represented Kentucky's Fourth District since 2012, after serving as Lewis County Judge Executive. During school, he invented a technology that enabled people to interact with computers using their sense of touch and leveraged that technology to found SensAble Technologies, Inc., which raised over $32 million of venture capital, created 70 jobs, and obtained 29 patents. The hardware and software he developed are now used to design automobiles, jewelry, shoes, dental prosthetics, and even reconstructive implants for wounded soldiers.
