(Jan. 26, 2023) – The U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 449, the Microloan Transparency and Accountability Act that was introduced by U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) alongside U.S. Representative Andy Kim (NJ-03). This bipartisan legislation previously passed the House of Representatives during the 116th and 117th Congress.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 19, 2023)U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) will join the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability for the 118th Congress. This is the primary investigative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and oversees government operations.   

The Committee’s mission is to “ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the federal government and all its agencies” and will be led by Chairman James Comer (KY-01)
