(April 3, 2019) – Last week, Congressman Tim Burchett introduced H.R. 1908, a bill to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Master Sergeant Rodrick "Roddie" Edmonds for his heroism and leadership during World War II. The rest of the bipartisan Tennessee delegation signed on as original co-sponsors, and Senators Lamar Alexander and Marsha Blackburn introduced the bill in the Senate.

(April 2, 2019) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will address a joint meeting of Congress at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in the House of Representatives Chamber of the U.S. Capitol. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) invited former U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe to attend as his guest. Nominated by President George W. Bush, Ashe served as ambassador to Poland from 2004 to 2009.

WASHINGTON (March 25, 2019) - Today, Congressman Tim Burchett sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to approve Governor Bill Lee's request for a major disaster declaration following the significant flooding and storm damage that took place across Tennessee in February.
This letter is in addition to the joint letter of support sent to the President by Tennessee's congressional delegation.

WASHINGTON (2/14/2019) – Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) voted against H.J. Res. 31 tonight. Congressional appropriators filed the bill at 12:05 this morning, allowing only hours to review the massive 1,169-page spending bill. House rules require that members of Congress have at least 72 hours to review a bill before it is put up for a vote, but the rule was waived for this vote.
