“Queen Elizabeth was beloved by her people, and she kept a good relationship with over a dozen U.S. presidents during her lifetime. I know she’ll be greatly missed.”

“President Biden’s latest scheme will force taxpayers to fund higher education for the wealthy elite. Hardworking Americans with jobs that don’t require a college diploma should not be forced to pay for someone else’s Gender Studies degree.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 12, 2022) – Today, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) voted against the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act. 

“You never reduce burdens – or inflation – by increasing taxes $745 billion. You simply create more government that will never go away,” said Rep. Burchett. “Democrats need to learn a lesson or two from Tennessee, where we reduced taxes and regulations and now have record surpluses and thriving businesses.”

In his piece, Rep. Burchett criticizes the lack of helpful information in Pentagon reports and the public congressional hearing and calls for more information to be released.
