WASHINGTON, D.C (Jan 6, 2021) -- U.S. Representative Tim Burchett has released the following statement regarding the situation at the U.S. Capitol:

"The rioting at the U.S. Capitol is disgusting and criminal. The President needs to publicly tell his supporters to stop or else people are going to get hurt or possibly die. Thank God for the United States Capitol Police officers working to get the situation under control; they have families just like we do."

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 31, 2020) -- Today, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) announced unique artifacts from the Museum of Appalachia will be on display in his Washington D.C. office, which is located in room 1122 of the Longworth House Office Building. Since 2003, these items have been on loan to U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) for display in his Washington office.
These historic pieces needed a new home as Sen. Alexander retires from office in January 2021, and Rep.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 21, 2020) – Tonight, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett (TN-02) voted against the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. This legislation is over 5,000 pages long, contains all 12 appropriations bills that are supposed to be voted on individually and has a $2.4 trillion price tag.
